Chapter Four
I swallowed hard, unsure how my mouth was both threatening to drool and completely dry at the same time, but the more I watched my amazing mate as he sweated almost from head to toe, his tight, dark green T-shirt stuck to his body, showing off every line of that gorgeous form, the more oddly my body seemed to behave.
My dick pulsed between my legs, almost hurting as he bent forward, placing the heated metal in the bowl of water. His jeans pulled tight over his big, thick ass, hugging the muscles beautifully.
When he pulled back, he lifted the goggles, holding the tongs with the tiny piece of molded metal in front of his eyes so he could examine it, smiling softly to himself and placing it on a wire rack next to several other little pieces that didn't seem to have a rhyme or reason to them, but had all passed when he'd examined them.
He glanced at me, his mouth quirking even as a small frown creased the center of his forehead between his eyebrows. "It's hard to work with you watching me like that," he grumbled, before reaching up to pull his goggles back down and moved to pick his torch back up.
"Oh!" I said, snapping out of my completely dazed and absolutely transfixed state, shaking my head. "Sorry."
He was absolutely right. I'd been sitting there for what felt like hours, but one look at the lovely grandfather clock in the corner, that I had no doubt he'd lovingly made every single piece of, said it had been closer to four hours.
Holy shit! I've been sitting here for four hours? No wonder I'm starving.
I smiled at the back of his head, disappointed that I had to leave, but not wanting to continue to distract him further. At least I'd stopped asking him questions about fifteen minutes into it. Of course, that had been when he'd first started sweating and had used the bottom of his shirt to wipe the moisture, and I'd once again caught a glimpse of those delicious abs and bronzed skin.
Apparently, I was easy to shut up.
Standing, I made my way to the door, pausing when I couldn't decide if I should say bye or just walk out, but his voice surprised me enough to make me jump.
"Wait," he said abruptly, hurrying over, lifting his goggles again. "Where are you going?"
I couldn't help that my eyes moved all over his wide, handsome face, or that I found the ring where his protective eyewear had been digging into his skin just as sexy as clear, dark patches on his shirt which showed where he'd been sweating.
I swallowed again, blinking at him in confusion for a moment before his question clicked. "I thought you said it was hard to work with me here," I answered, lifting my eyebrows.
"No." He grabbed my shoulders, glancing at his hands and seeing his thick leather gloves. Shaking his head, he let go, pulling his gloves off in obvious frustration before tossing them towards his workbench.
